Zoghori Sacco was established in 2004 as a self-help group and registered as a SACCO in the year 2005 with the main aim of improving the lifestyle of the community through inculcating a saving culture for prosperity and to liberate the community from being that of a consumer in nature by offering quick access to cheap and affordable credit facilities.
As a result, funds mobilized provide cheap access to credit facilities, financial education and bring awareness on nurturing a saving culture; personal financial management and identification of opportunities and investments.

The SACCO is governed by an (ADM) Annual Delegates Meeting where crucial resolutions are drafted and adopted and the mandate of execution granted unto the elected Board of Directors. The Board of Directors appoints and employs employees to help them run the SACCO.

The Sacco adopted the delegates system of meetings to enhance the member management and optimise decision-making processes. The normal AGM was then replaced by ADM while general membership will now meet during zonal AGMs where they shall meet with their elected delegates and transact business as envisioned in the Sacco's By-laws
